The Wassily Kandinsky - Absolute. Abstract. exhibition marks the start of a worldwide showing of Wassily Kandinsky's work. The Russian abstract artist's pieces go on show at Munich's Lenbachhaus before the exhibition visits Paris' Pompidou Centre and the Guggenheim in New York.

Munich's Lenbachhaus is one of three worldwide museums that hold the largest collections of Kandinsky's work. Wassily Kandinsky - Absolute. Abstract. features approximately 90 pieces taken from each period of Kandinsky's life. The main focus, however, is on the period of The Blue Rider (1908-1914).
